Itinerary

Day 1: Hanoi - Arrival
You are welcomed by our guide at Noi Bai International Airport, and then transfer to hotel for check in.
In the evening, attend a performance of the famous Vietnamese traditional art of water puppetry.

Day 2: Hanoi City Tour
We begin our experience with the rich cultural and artistic traditions of Vietnam’s capital by visiting Ho Chi Minh’s former residence and mausoleum (the Mausoleum closed during Oct-Nov), the One Pillar Pagoda & the Temple of Literature, the History Museum.
Afternoon: more sighseeing: Ethnology Museum where is showing 54 ethnic group in Vietnam... enjoy a cyclo ride through the old quarter past the Hoan Kiem Lake and Ngoc Son temple

Day 3: Hanoi City – Tam Coc – Halong Bay
Drive to Tam Coc to visit “Halong Bay on land” - the limestone carsts seeming to grow from the rice paddy fields. Enjoy a boat ride through the winding stream and the view of rice fields and the spectacular scenery around Tam Coc Caves. Lunch at local restaurant. Continue to Halong Bay.
Majestic and mysterious, inspiring and imperious:words alone cannot do justice to the natural wonder that is HaLong Bay. Imagine 3000 or more incredible islands rising from the emeral waters of the Gulf of Tonking and you have a vision of breatheaking beauty. Halong Bay is pure art, a priceless collection of unfinished sculptures hewn from the hand of nature. In 1994 it was designated a World Heritage site.

Day 4: Halong Bay – Hanoi City
Discover Halong Bay, listed as a World Heritage Site of outstanding natural beauty. “Dragon descending to the sea“ as it is known in Vietnamese, picturesque Halong Bay has more than 1000 limestone islets rising from the sea, many of them containing beautiful grottoes. Enjoy a relaxing 5-hour boat trip through Halong Bay, fresh seafood lunch is prepared and served on board. Afternoon drive back to Hanoi.

Day 5: Hanoi City – Ho Chi Minh City
Transfer to Hanoi / Noi Bai airport for your flight to Ho Chi Minh City. Upon arrival transfer to your hotel for check in. Afternoon city tour: We wander Saigon's wide and historic boulevards,visiting famous landmarks such as Dong Khoi Street (formerly Rue Cantina), Hotel de Ville, the former Presidential Palace and the lively Chinatown district - Cholon. A pedicab tour in afternoon will give to you the feeling of Ho Chi Minh’ daily life

Day 6: Ho Chi Minh City – Tay Ninh – Cu Chi Tunnels – Ho Chi Minh City
Drive to Cu Chi and visit the amazing complex of underground tunnels. There are more than 200 km of underground tunnels with many branches connecting to underground hideouts and shelters. Proceed to Tay Ninh, center of the Cao Dai religion founded in 1926 and a combination of Buddhism, Christianity, Taoism and Confucianism. You will have the opportunity to watch the worshippers in their white long tunics during noon mass. Drive back Ho Chi Minh City.

Day 7: Ho Chi Minh City – Siem Reap
Take a flight to Siem Reap, meet our guide and transfer to hotel.
In the same morning, visit Prasat Kravan with its unique brick sculptures and Ta Prohm. One of the area’s most beautiful temples, Ta Prohm has been relatively untouched since it was discovered and retains much of its mystery. Its appeal lies in the fact that, unlike the other monuments of Angkor, it was abandoned and swallowed by the jungle, looking very much the ways most of the Angkor temples appeared when European explorers first stumbled upon them.
Visit Preah Khan temple. Built by the King Jayavarman VII, Preah Khan is, like Ta Prohm, a place of towered enclosures and shoulders-hanging corridors. Unlike Ta Prohm, however, Preah Khan is in a reasonable state of preservation and ongoing restoration efforts should maintain and even improve this situation. Continue your visits to Neak Pean, a fountain built in the middle of a pool and representing the paradisiacal Himalayan mountain-lake and visit the temple of Ta Som as well as Srah Srang (“The Royal Baths”), undoubtedly used in the past for ritual bathing.

Day 8: Angkor Temples – sight - seeing
This morning, start the tour to visit the most famous of all the temples on the plain of Angkor: Angkor Wat.
The temple complex covers 81 hectares and is comparable in size to the Imperial Palace in Beijing. Its distinctive five towers are emblazoned on the Cambodian flag and the 12th century masterpiece is considered by art historians to be the prime example of classical Khmer art and architecture. Angkor Wat’s five towers symbolize Meru’s five peaks - the enclosed wall represents the mountains at the edge of the world and the surrounding moat, the ocean beyond.
Visit the ancient capital of Angkor Thom (12th century). See the South Gate with its huge statues depicting the churning of the ocean of milk, the Royal Enclosure, Phimeanakas, the Elephants Terrace, the Terrace of the Leper King and Bayon Temple (unique for its 54 towers decorated with over 200 smiling faces of Avolokitesvara), until sunset.

Day 9: Siem Reap Sightseeing
In the morning, transfer to Banteay Srei temple (10th century), regarded as the jewel in the crown of Classical Khmer Art. Visit the floating village of Chong Khneas, located 10 kilometers south of Siem Reap. Take a traditional wooden boat for a ride on the Tonle Sap Lake, the “Great Lake” of Cambodia, one of the largest in Asia.
Continue to visit Banteay Samre, one of the most complete complexes at Angkor due to restoration using the method of “anastylosis”. The name Samre refers to an ethnic group of mountain people, who inhabited the region at the base of Phnom Kulen and were probably related to the Khmers. No inscriptions have been found for this temple, but the style of most of the architecture is of the classic art of the middle period similar to Angkor Wat. The proportions of Banteay Samre are splendid. A unique feature is an interior moat with laterite paving, which when filled with water must have given an ethereal atmosphere to the temple.

You will have leisure time or free for shopping around until being transferring for departure flight. End of services.
